
Anyone can come into the Community House and book an appointment for financial mentoring. This includes a budget sheet prepared for WINZ appointments for beneficiaries, Debt schedules for contacting creditors for arrears on bills, and applying for Hardship through Kiwi saver. This service is an office and home based support to best meet the needs of the client. Where possible Otamatea Community Services may provide support and/or assistance to whanau around a variety of situations, this may include the food bank, donated produce, clothing and toys for the children, Zonta packs for new babies and practical advice around meeting the needs of the family. The Financial Mentor can advocate on your behalf for housing and WINZ. This is a one on one friendly and confidential service.
