SHOPPING IN WHANGAREI – We are trialling a regular monthly trip in our mini-bus, hoping that those who used to go with Brooks Motors may like to take advantage of this new service. Our first trip was planned for 25th October which will have happened by the time this edition of the Press is published. The next trip will be on the 22nd November. This is a free service and will require people to phone OCS on 431 9080 for bookings.
We have chosen the fourth Wednesday of each month as the seniors of the district currently have social outings on the first Wednesday with lunch at the St John Hall, and the Chocolate Bingo at the Anglican Church Hall on the third Wednesday. As this is a trial, we are open to suggestions around days and times from those using the service.
AGM – Our AGM was held on 1st November at the Community House with a good number in attendance.
